FROM THE LAST SHOW

The Weald of Kent Craft & Design Show will be making a return to Penshurst Place, near Tonbridge this year from 30th April - 2nd May. This is your chance to discover beautifully crafted British products and soak up the atmosphere of the most prestigious craft show in the country; with 250 stands and activities to experience and enjoy.

With workshops, demonstrations and live music throughout the day, and an opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and surround yourself with the striking landscape of Penshurst Place; we can assure you it is going to be a truly special day for you and your family.

Dogs are welcome at our outdoor shows, but cannot enter marquees or children’s play areas (with the exception of service animals).

Unique Crafts and Gifts

Browse unique jewellery, gifts, home and garden pieces made by British craftsmen and women. Shop our stalls of beautifully handmade and hand-finished furniture and glassware, luxury beauty products and leather goods.

The Tempus Fugit Garden

BY CHILSTONE & HOW GREEN NURSERY

How Green Nursery and Chilstone present a oneoff show garden themed around time. Entitled The Tempus Fugit Garden it will feature a selection of stone sundials and armillary spheres. These will be complimented by a planting scheme from the established Kent nursery. Alongside the garden there will be stone engraving demonstrations by Nigel Hartfield - one of Kent’s leading stone masons (please check times on arrival).

The Birds and Beasts Roadshow

The astounding Birds and Beasts Roadshow tops off a perfect day at the show with its collection of live animals, creepy crawlies, reptiles and birds. We are thrilled to welcome back popular falconers Leigh and Jo Holmes from The Hawking Centre, presenting their dynamic and exciting falconry display.

Rural Craft Demonstrations
 

For those looking to learn more about the art of crafting there will be plenty of demonstrations and workshops giving visitors the chance to try something new and have a go at traditional, heritage crafts as well as contemporary handicraft.

Children’s Activities + Venture Play Area

Children can enjoy various craft workshops especially tailored to little fingers and a large and exciting children’s play area (children under 16 attend free when accompanied by a parent / guardian).

Live Music

Adding a soundtrack to your day with live performances from The Haywood Sisters and Crooked Style. The Hayward Sisters are a stylish close harmony group, inspired by The Andrews Sisters, The Shirelles, and The Ronettes, and Crooked Style are an acoustic duo from Kent who play a range of fantastic and enjoyable covers, and will be joined by a professional Caller (Saturday only) for those who wish to enjoy some fun and easy dancing; No footwork, no need to remember anything - just pure fun!

Good Food Live

Foodies will be delighted with the return of The Good Food Live area. Stocked full with tasty treats including farmhouse cheese, handmade chutneys, curry sauces, nuts and seeds, to luxury chocolates, fine wines and spirits it will offer visitors a wonderful array of sumptuous goodies to try and buy.

Luxury Food & Drink Stalls

This year we are welcoming even more hand created gastronomic delights! Pizza of Dreams will be on hand in their gorgeous vintage trailer complete with wood fired oven. Why not complete the summer holiday feel with a traditional handmade ice-cream from the Ice Cream by Cycle offering a wide selection of flavours? Bean and Gone Coffee will be on hand to wet your whistle; and for those with a sweet tooth why not finish off with dessert from the delightful Crepe Lucette?

Cookery Workshops

Masterchef of Great Britain, Paul Da Costa Greaves will be returning to the show to run his highly entertaining and lively cookery workshops, giving culinary enthusiasts the opportunity to get hands on and make some of his favourite summer recipes.
